“Your Potential Is Valuable, Your Dreams Are Valid” — Omar Bolaji Gambari Celebrates Kwara Youths on International Youth Day.

I have always believed that investing in the capacity of young people is one of the surest ways to build a stronger and more prosperous society. Wherever I have found young people, I have consistently advocated for opportunities that will help them discover their potential, acquire relevant skills and become productive contributors to society.

As we commemorate International Youth Day, I join young people and women across Kwara State, Nigeria in celebrating this important day.

For us at the OBG Foundation, youth empowerment is not merely a slogan; it is a commitment we have continued to demonstrate through practical initiatives at the grassroots and in the digital space.

Today, 105 young people drawn from the 16 Local Government Areas of Kwara State are currently undergoing the OBG Digital Training Programme, acquiring skills that can position them for opportunities in today’s increasingly digital economy. This is part of the long-term vision I have developed to ensure that young people are not left behind in a rapidly changing world.

The transformation as a foundation has been driven by one fundamental belief: every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their worth, develop their capacity and contribute meaningfully to society.

OBG Foundation will continue to support initiatives that empower young people, strengthen their skills, promote entrepreneurship, encourage digital inclusion and create pathways for them to become self-reliant and economically productive.

International Youth Day is not only a day for celebration; it is also a reminder that the future we desire depends greatly on how intentionally we invest in the young people of today.

To every young person across our communities, I say: your potential is valuable, your dreams are valid, and your capacity can transform your community.

May we continue to build a generation that is skilled, confident, innovative, resilient and prepared to lead.

Happy International Youth Day!
