BREAKING: Hon. Fatai Alabi Olayinka declares intention to represent Oke-Ogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly (KWHA) come 2027.
OFFICIAL DECLARATION OF INTENT TO CONTEST FOR MEMBERSHIP OF THE KWARA STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY, 2027
My dear people of Oke-Ogun Constituency,
With a deep sense of responsibility and firm belief in the potential of our people, I hereby formally declare my intention to contest for the office of Member, Kwara State House of Assembly, representing Oke-Ogun Constituency in the 2027 general elections.
This decision comes from careful thought, wide consultation, and a clear understanding of the duty required of a legislator. The House of Assembly is not a place for silence or routine attendance; it is a place for serious work—lawmaking, oversight, and true representation of the people.
If given your mandate, I will approach this office with focus and discipline. I will actively participate in the legislative process by sponsoring and supporting laws that promote development, protect lives and property, and improve the welfare of our people. I will take part fully in appropriation processes, ensuring that budgetary allocations reflect the real needs of Oke-Ogun Constituency and that funds meant for our communities are properly utilized.
Oversight will not be taken lightly. I will ensure that government ministries, departments, and agencies are held accountable. Projects meant for our constituency will be monitored, and I will insist on quality delivery and transparency at all levels.
Representation is at the heart of this ambition. I will maintain constant engagement with our people—listening, consulting, and speaking with courage on your behalf. Your concerns will not be ignored, and your voice will not be missing in the Assembly.
I am committed to being part of legislative efforts that will strengthen transparency and accountability, including supporting frameworks that will bring the Freedom of Information principles to full effect in our state. Governance must be open, and the people must have access to information that concerns them.
I am not going to the House to occupy a seat. I am going there to stand up, speak clearly, and work consistently for the progress of our constituency. I will contribute meaningfully to debates, offer practical solutions, and push for policies that deliver results.
My goal is simple—to serve with integrity and to uphold a standard of legislative performance that can stand anywhere in the world. Oke-Ogun Constituency deserves serious representation, and I am ready to give it my full commitment.
Together, we can build a stronger, more accountable, and more responsive system that works for everyone.
Thank you, and may God bless Oke-Ogun Constituency.
Hon. Fatai Olayinka Alabi
Aspirant, Kwara State House of Assembly
Oke-Ogun Constituency, 2027
