Alhaji Usman Sha’aba Lafiagi Felicitates with Constituents, Calls for Renewed Strength and Unity for a Better Kwara

As the curtain rises on the year 2026, a new chapter filled with hope, promise, and collective responsibility, the Kwara North–born astute administrator and financial expert, Alhaji Usman Sha’aba Lafiagi, has warmly felicitated with the good people of Edu, Moro, and Patigi Federal Constituencies on the occasion of the New Year celebrations.


Alhaji Usman Sha’aba Lafiagi described the New Year as a season of reflection, renewal, and renewed commitment to the shared ideals that bind the people of Kwara State together. He urged constituents to regird their strength, embrace unity of purpose, and remain steadfast in the collective pursuit of a better, fairer, and more prosperous Kwara.


According to him, the journey to sustainable development is not built on division but on cooperation, mutual respect, and a sincere commitment to justice and inclusiveness. He reaffirmed his belief that Kwara North, and indeed the entire state, possesses the human capacity, resilience, and vision required to overcome present challenges and unlock greater opportunities for all.


Alhaji Usman Sha’aba Lafiagi further reaffirmed his commitment to preaching and practicing equity, stressing that leadership must always be guided by fairness, transparency, and equal consideration for every community, regardless of political, ethnic, or religious affiliation. He emphasized that true progress can only be achieved when governance is people-centered and when no group feels marginalized or forgotten.


He called on youths to remain hopeful and industrious, elders to continue offering wisdom and guidance, and stakeholders across all sectors to work collaboratively in strengthening peace, development, and social harmony within the constituencies and beyond.


As the New Year unfolds, Alhaji Usman Sha’aba Lafiagi prayed for divine guidance, peace, and prosperity for the people of Edu, Moro, and Patigi, as well as for Kwara State and Nigeria at large. He expressed confidence that with unity, dedication, and collective sacrifice, the year 2026 will usher in renewed progress and lasting benefits for the people.

This decision is not only necessary for bolstering representation in our region but also for ensuring that all local government areas have a voice at both the state and zonal levels.
