Bolaji Abdullahi has no need for a cultist, those shouting 'k'olomo kilo f'omore' should check themselves
The attention of Bolaji Abdullahi Campaign Organization (BACO) has been drawn to a mischievous news item with the headline: "Notorious Cultist, Ojulari is Bolaji Abdullahi's hitman'. We wish to disassociate Omoluabi from any affinity with any cultist, just as we make bold to say that our principal does not require the services of anyone with even a slight history of violence to win election.
For clarity, a rally is an open event, and there is no way Omoluabi or anyone for that matter could have screened all who decided to join. At the Ilorin West rally from which the now circulating photo of the said Ojulari was taken; people freely joined the procession at different points and joints, and with the massive turnout that greeted the rally; there was no way then identity of all those who participated could be ascertained.
In any case, every plain hearted politician, except for mischief makers, is familiar with cases of uninvited individuals joining rally procession for the expectations of monetary rewards.
Moreover, everyone in Kwara knows the candidate who is singing the war song of 'K'olomo kilo f'omore' and which party he belongs. If in living up to his threats as conveyed in his favorite song, cultists are now surfacing as we approach the voting day, it behoves on the government to do the needful and arrest all trouble makers in order to guarantee the safety of voters and other participants in the election process.
We repeat, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi has no business whatsoever with any cultist or any other violent individuals or groups. He believes that elections are prosecuted solely on the strength of ideas, and that victory would only be attained when a candidate is able to convince the greater number of electorate. This is what Omoluabi is focused on.
Finally, we invite the government and all other security agencies in Kwara to be at alert and to clean our streets of all violent persons, including cultists, ahead of the election day. This would go a long way in assuring voters of their safety and therefore encourage high turnout for the poll.
