APC's performance not good enough, I’d take different approach if elected, – Hon Hawau Moh'd EDU KWHA
Hon Hawau who recently declared her intention to become the next EDU constituency representative in 2023, talks about her aims and strategy.
My name is Hajia Hawau Muhammad. I am from Edu Local government Area of Kwara State and I am the erstwhile SA Recreational matters.
All my life, I have lived a life of service and offering humanitarian aid. I have travelled far and wide and garnered enough experience to represent the good people of Edu. I have spent my life mostly with my people and I have seen the situation that are flying high and I have seen and known all that are facing challenges, especially the women and youth in rural areas.
I have seen people suffer, I have seen people lose their lives needlessly due to insecurity, I have seen people going to bed without eating and I have seen our young ones roaming the streets in search of employment.
I have seen the health care system in our constituency gone down to nothing; I have seen factories closing down.
In terms of human and capital development, Edu has gone down under APC our people are suffering while the wealth of the Constituency is circulating in the hands of very few people. So, we need a good representative who can be creative, a kind hearted who can think out of the box to give the people the kind of leadership it deserves.
I am coming out now because we need more women in decision making , especially we from the northern part of the state.
In my recent media interview, I talked about the issue and why the younger ones and women need to support my aspiration.
You know power is not given, I believe the our people will vote for me, not only our people, others across will do as well if they have a way of voting. I have made my own contribution in the building of our constituency and I can’t be afraid of anything.
