  A group of concerned youths of Agbaji in Ilorin West area of Kwara State has described as ‘partisan and political gimmick’, the purported empowerment programme organised by some politicians loyal to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in the area on Sunday. The group in a statement released on Sunday afternoon, said the people of Agbaji were not fools and would never give in to the deceit of Governor Abdulrazaq and his men.     Hon Hawau Muhammad stated this on sunday while briefing BasicNewsReporter correspondents after she met with ward excos and PDP stakeholders in EDU Constituency. According to her, the good people of EDU LG deserve better and therefore, they are here to show their support towards the pursuit of her ambition. Hon Hawau Muhammad said, “I have informed the party faithfuls of my intention and the people of my immediate ward.     Today, excitement glued the air as Peoples Democratic party members in Lafiagi Emirate comprising of four (4) wards received hundreds of decampees of All Progressive Congress in Edu Local Government area of Kwara State. The Decampees who are in their hundreds comprise 58 different groups across the four wards in the Emirate said they have no business to remain in a party that never kept on their promises made during campaigns..  Our dear democracy has grown to the extent of having better representatives at the state and National assemblies of the highest law-making institution in our country. In every advanced country, they leverage on good laws and policies to boost the economic growth, human capital development and infrastructural projects to facilitate growth to the people.   The redundancy we’ve seen in Nigeria politics is a product of bad representation. This is because representatives are after their own parochial interests and wealth. The idea of representational government is to represent the ideas and interests of the people. The interest of the people comes first.   The good people of EDU district deserve more. The people need to decide their development. The people have the power to demand through their representatives to bring development to their community.
