ENetSuD accuses Kwara Government of padding school contract with ₦29m

  ------------- The Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD), has accused the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development of padding the contract of Ilorin Grammar School (IGS) project with a total sum of ₦29,046,836.43.  The anti-corruption Civil Society Organisation (CSO) reputed for promoting good governance, transparency and accountability, made this known on Monday in Ilorin in a statement by its Press Secretary, Saeed Tijjani.  The statement explained that ENetSuD re-examined the Bill of Quantity (BoQ) of the project and noted some irrelevant items were padded into the BoQ to inflate the contract sum by ₦29,046,836.43. The anti-corruption body added that the ₦29,046,836.43 inflation is just for the contract sum, while a physical assessment of the project executed on the site is yet to be carried out to determine if the works have been executed according to specification by the contractor. The beneficiaries of the four weeks rigorous free Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) coaching has expressed apreciation to the founder and financial of Haruna Likpata Foundation, Mohammed Haruna Likpata for his unrelenting support to the development of his people.  This was expressed by the Coordinator Haruna Likpata Foundation during the end of four weeks free JAMB coaching for the students aspiring to write this year examination. He said the Foundation engaged the service of 70 teachers in all the subjects across the 8 centers in Edu and Patigi LGAs with the payments of weekly allowances to all the teachers.  He said the coaching classes commenced from 9am to 12noon daily with in-class teachings and a test of computer assessment of the students to get them acquainted to the use of CBT examinations.
